"Maria - ninguém sabe quem sou eu" (Maria - Nobody knows who I am), is a documentary feature film that is the result of a partnership between Globo Filmes, GloboNews, Canal Brasil and Turbilhão de Ideias.
Written and directed by Carlos Jardim, it is a record about the career of Maria Bethânia. A trajectory as eclectic as the repertoire of this woman from the state of Bahia, who launched herself transforming “Carcará” into a national success, who sings samba and sertanejo, who brings the interior of Brazil to her concerts and connects songs with poems every time she takes the stage.
The film will be released in movie theaters in 2022 and, later, shown on GloboNews and then on Canal Brasil.
